The Investment Strategies Program (ISP) is a learning opportunity for Grade 8-12 students to explore the ways in which people save and invest for their future. The program includes interactive lessons and culminates in an online stock market simulation, called Invest JA, where students manage their own simulated stock portfolio. The simulation uses live market data from North American stock markets and is an engaging opportunity for students to apply the investing principles taught in the program.
The Investment Strategies Program is one of a series of learning experiences offered by JA Canada.
Depending on the province, ISP is available in one of two delivery methods:
- In ISP Classroom a teacher or volunteer facilitates learning using content from 8 interactive modules. Resources include online interactive digital learning modules, and downloadable or printable facilitator and students guides. The modules include a variety of activities and teachers can select the content that best meets the needs of the students. Student teams are provided with logins so they can participate in the Invest JA stock market simulation.
- Do you want to participate in ISP but your class is not registered? You can now join ISP Student-Led at JA Digital Campus! You will receive your login and password for investja.org to compete in the Canada-wide competition after completing lessons 1-4 found on the Digital Campus. Register today at www.jacampus.org.
